About the Role
In this pivotal role, you’ll provide high‑level secretarial, governance, and administrative support to the CEO and all governance entities across Te Rūnanganui o Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Porou Oranga, and Toitū Ngāti Porou. Your work will ensure our governance processes are well‑coordinated, compliant, and professionally delivered — strengthening decision‑making and supporting the smooth running of critical organisational functions.
You’ll be responsible for managing board cycles, preparing high‑quality meeting materials, organising logistics, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring statutory and Trust Deed obligations are upheld. You’ll also support wider organisational administration and work closely with the Whakapapa, Archives & Trust Deed Compliance Manager on key Trust Deed workflows including AGMs, SGMs, elections, and constitutional processes.
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail‑focused, and confident supporting governance at a senior level. Someone who can uphold confidentiality, communicate with professionalism, and build trusted relationships with board members, executives, kaumātua, and external partners.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy structure, take pride in delivering high‑quality documentation, and value working in a kaupapa Māori environment where your contribution supports strong governance and future‑focused outcomes for Ngāti Porou.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated governance professional who brings initiative, discretion, and a commitment to service excellence.
