Join a dedicated, whānau-centred team committed to delivering high-quality care for our rural community. Te Puia Springs Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to contribute to excellent clinical care across our medical, aged care, and emergency ward settings.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, responsive nursing care. You’ll work collaboratively with patients, whānau, the Clinical Nurse Manager, and the wider clinical team to ensure excellent health outcomes.

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care across our case ward mix.
  • Undertake thorough clinical assessments and manage care plans.
  • Provide health education and support to patients and whānau.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient confidentiality.
  • Promote a culturally safe environment and apply Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in daily practice.
  • Support a safe, positive, and values-aligned workplace culture.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako - Essential Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent recognised by the Nursing Council of NZ.
  • Current NZ Registered Nurse practising certificate.
  • PDRP Competent (or working towards).
  • Minimum one-year post-graduate experience (NETP or equivalent).
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a medical ward or similar clinical setting.

You will also:

  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and cultural safety.
  • Be adaptable, collaborative, and able to work confidently in a rural setting.
  • Show commitment to ongoing learning and quality improvement.
