Personal Assistant to General Manager Primary Care

The Opportunity Ngāti Porou Oranga is seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal Assistant to provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the General Manager Primary Care. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient management of day-to-day workflows, allowing the General Manager to focus on operational and strategic delivery. You will play a key role in supporting engagement with kaimahi, whānau, and stakeholders while upholding the core values of Ngāti Porou Oranga.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Excellence: Provide timely support including diary management, scheduling, and triaging incoming correspondence.
  • Coordination & Workflow: Organize meetings, hui, and wānanga, including logistics, agendas, and minute-taking.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a professional point of contact for the General Manager, facilitating clear and timely communication across teams and with external partners.
  • Systems Support: Maintain accurate filing systems and support planning and reporting processes to identify opportunities for workflow improvement.
  • Cultural Contribution: Apply tikanga and kaupapa Māori principles in daily work, supporting commitments to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity.

  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in administration or business support, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Experience: Ideally 2–4+ years of proven experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or senior administrative role.
  • Skills: High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite and a high level of computer literacy.
  • Values-Driven: A commitment to the values of Porou, Aroha, Manaaki, and Tika/Pono.
  • Practicality: A current clean NZ full driver’s licence is essential.
