E ngā hapū me nga whanau o Ngāti Porou, tēnā tatau,
E tangi ana te ngākau mō ngā waipuke kino kua pā ki a Matakaoa. Ki ngā whānau me ngā hapū katoa kua pāngia e ēnei āhuatanga, ka tuku aroha, ka tuku whakaaro, kia kaha, kia māia, kia manawanui i roto i ngā wā uaua nei.
Te Rūnanganui o Ngāti Porou is inviting hapū members to provide feedback on the Government’s proposed Planning Bill and Natural Environment Bill, and the submission being prepared on behalf of Ngāti Porou.
These reforms will affect how decisions are made about our whenua, wai, moana, and taiao. We are keen to hear hapū views and ensure they inform Ngāti Porou’s response.
We apologise for the timing AND for our hapu currently working through their response to the severe weather event last week, we are responding to tight timelines set by the Government and us participating in the select committee process is part of our Nati 2050 strategy and vision, we didn’t think we would be preparing it in an Emergency Management context.
