NOTICE CALLING FOR NOMINATIONS

Notice is given that a by-election is required to fill a casual vacancy in the Rohenga Tipuna 3 – Pohautea ki Te Onepoto seat on the board of directors of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou Trustee Limited (TRONPnui).

‍

Eligible nominees must:

• be 18 years of age or older;
• be registered on the Ngati Porou Register as at 5pm Fri 27 February 2026 for Rohenga Tipuna 3 – Pohautea ki Te Onepoto and have selected one of the following as “primary marae”: Tikapa Marae, Te Horo Marae, Waiomatatini Marae, Kakariki Marae, or Tinatoka Marae;
• be noho kaenga (resident mai i Potikirua ki Te Toka a Taiau);
• be nominated by 5 adult members who are registered for Rohenga Tipuna 3 – Pohautea ki Te Onepoto;
• meet the eligibility rules in clause 2.1, Second Schedule, of the TRONPnui Trust Deed (details on the official nomination form); and
• submit a completed nomination form and required documents to the Chief Returning Officer by 5pm Friday 27 February 2026 (nominations closing date).

Current employees of the Ngati Porou Group are not eligible for nomination.

Late or incomplete nomination forms will not be accepted. Nomination forms and required documents must be received by the Chief Returning Officer in full by 5:00pm 27 February 2026. No exception will be given.

➡️ TRONPnui will give formal notice of this by-election once the nomination process has been     completed and the candidates for election have been confirmed.

Registration eligibility:

➡️ To be eligible for nomination and to vote in the by-election, iwi members must be registered     with Rohenga Tipuna 3 – Pohautea ki Te Onepoto by the nominations closing date, 27      February 2026. After that date, any eligible but unregistered members who wish to vote will be     required to submit a provisional vote with a completed registration form.
