Kaiawhina – Youth Services
Our Youth Services team works with a range of young people who need intensive mentoring to create positive pathways. This role is focused on young people who need that extra support to create pathways for change & also includes programme delivery to increase engagement with a strong focus on tikanga/kaupapa Maori.
We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic and energetic person whose key focus will be to support our young people and their whanau to create individual plans, intensive mentoring and work with key agencies such as Oranga Tamariki, Police and whanau..
The person we seek to appoint will have: a social work qualification or an equivalent; the ability to engage with young people and their whanau; and a good understanding of tikanga/kaupapa Maori. Experience working with young people and their whanau is essential for this role as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a youth-focused role so all suitable applicants will be required to undergo Police Checking prior to starting this role.
