Please note:

In reading the preceeding submission that paragraph 4.9 records that "Haha Station has said that it will no longer allow beach access". This is incorrect. While Haha Station has continued to exercise control over the takutaimoana for and on behalf of its approximately 600 shareholders, their whanau and the wider hapu grouping, it does not have a blanket policy of prohibiting beach access. What Haha Station has done is to implement a permit system to comply with OSH regulations to ensure the safety of people while on the farm. Haha Station has also had to deal with some individuals accessing the farm without permission and cutting fences. Despite these problems Haha Station has continued to allow access to the beach accross the farm, with a number of requests being received annually.
