Deed Implementation
In May 2009 a Foreshore and Seabed Committee (FSC) was appointed by the Runanga to assist hapu with implementation of the activities of the deed. This is an interim committee and will assist hapu to establish their management bodies. Priorities for the committee are educating our people about the deed and the responsibilities that come with it. The full deed of agreement can be accessed here.
