BOARD OF TRUSTEE ELECTIONS 2008

Nominations for the Election of Candidates for the Te Runanga o Ngati Porou Board of Trustees closed Friday 26th September 2008. We received 20 nominations. Ballot forms were posted out to all eligible voters and all ballot forms were to be returned to the Returning Officer by 5pm, Friday 14th November 2008.
In accordance with the Maori Trust Board Act 1955, Regulation 5A (2) (c), we were required to conduct an election in Rohe 1, Rohe 2 and Rohe 4 to elect the two Noho Waho candidates. The respective candidates standing for election in these Rohe are;

The Te Runanga o Ngati Porou Triennial Trustee Elections affords Ngati Porou people the opportunity to determine who will represent them on the Board of Trustees for the next three years. It is your chance to have a say in who would best serve the interests of ‘nga uri o nga hapu o Ngati Porou mai i Potikirua ki te Toka a Taiau’ and provide strategic and accountable leadership to Ngati Porou.
